RankCurrent is based in Normal, Illinois, and works with local service businesses and the people who buy them.
What we do
Customers now ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini who to hire, and the assistant answers with a couple of names. We find out whether a business is one of them, fix what keeps it off the list, and measure the change every month against the same set of questions. The work happens on the client's own website and across the listings, citations, and reviews that AI engines read before they recommend anyone.
Every client gets a fixed set of buyer questions, frozen at the start, re-run across the four major assistants every month. The score from that is the yardstick. The implementation is what moves it.
Who runs it
Jackie Carmichael founded RankCurrent in 2026. Before this, Jackie played professional basketball overseas and spent years in sales and business development, and today runs several small ventures from central Illinois, including Dink and Done, a pickleball and padel court cleaning company whose site RankCurrent built. Jackie is also part of a community of entrepreneurs who acquire small businesses, which is where the diligence audit came from: buyers kept asking what they were actually acquiring.
How we work
- Plain pricing, in writing, on the site. Free audit, a monthly program, a site build, and a flat-fee diligence audit.
- No promises about what an AI will say. Nobody can buy a spot in ChatGPT. We promise the work and show the before and after.
- You own everything. The changes live on your domain and in your accounts. If we part ways, they keep working.
- One report a month, one ask of you. No meeting you have to sit through.
Where
Home base is Bloomington-Normal. Most clients are in Peoria, Champaign, Springfield, and the Chicago suburbs. The work is remote and the process is the same anywhere.
